The first direct connection to the UAE in the Varna Airport's history is one of 13 routes that Wizz Air will operate this summer from/to our sea capital city

At a special event for business representatives, held on January 29, 2025, in the VIP area of Varna Airport, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management presented in detail the opportunities that the new direct year-round route - Varna-Abu Dhabi, provides for vacations and business trips.

The event that was attended by special guests - His Excellency Abdulrahman Ahmed Aljaber - Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Bulgaria, the Mayor of the Municipality of Varna - Mr. Blagomir Kotsev, and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Varna - Ms. Snezhana Apostolova, brought together over 50 representatives from the tourism sector, universities and business. It was opened by the host - Dr. Frank Quante - CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, who emphasized the importance of this new route for the development of the airport, which is also the longest flight destination in the portfolio with direct flights of "The Airport of Roses". Ms. Denitsa Milosavljevic - Head of the Aviation Business Development Department, emphasized the many opportunities for tourism and business that this flight provides to all passengers, as well as the intensified cooperation that the airport concessionaire maintains with the airlines, thanks to which this route is a fact. His Excellency Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Jaber gave a presentation introducing the destination Abu Dhabi and the attractiveness of the UAE to the event guests.

We remind you that the Varna-Abu Dhabi flights will start on March 31, 2025, and will be operated 3 times a week by Wizz Air. This is just one of a total of 13 routes that the airline will operate from/to Varna Airport, the others being: Berlin Brandenburg, Nuremberg, Frankfurt Hahn, Dortmund, Hamburg, Memmingen, Leipzig

(Germany), London Luton, and London Gatwick (United Kingdom), Charleroi (Belgium), Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Tel Aviv (Israel).
