Burgas Airport will reopen on March 29, 2025, following necessary renovation works

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD is taking a significant step towards enhancing the safety and efficiency of Burgas Airport! In this regard, the airport will be temporarily closed until March 28, 2025, for essential runway maintenance, aimed at improving operational performance and  ensuring seamless and safe service for passengers  during the busy summer season.

The maintenance work covers approximately  1,000 m² of the runway, including around  4,250 m² taxiway asphalt rehabilitation.  The investment is part of the company’s long-term strategy for sustainable development, ensuring compliance with  all international safety and security standards.

Burgas Airport will resume operations with a flight from London Luton  on March 29, 2025, followed by Ryanair’s launch of its scheduled flights from Warsaw and Krakow on March 30, 2025. The flight from Krakow will be the highlight of the reopening celebrations, symbolically marking the start of the  Season  2025, as it is expected to bring the first tourists to Bulgaria’s  Southern Black Sea coast. The official event will be attended by representatives of local and national authorities, as well as  representatives  of the media.
