Double-digit Passenger Growth Expected, with Expanded Routes and Enhanced Infrastructure

On March 30, Burgas Airport officially launched the 2025 tourist season with a special ceremony, welcoming the first tourists of the year in the presence of media representatives. A Ryanair flight from Krakow (Poland), carrying 183 passengers, was greeted with a festive water salute, balloons, and a joyful atmosphere. Each passenger received a special gift – a vial of Bulgarian lavender oil, symbolizing the warm hospitality of our country.

This is just one of the 10 destinations that Ryanair will serve with scheduled flights from Burgas Airport this season. Other routes include:

• Warsaw-Modlin (Poland) and London-Luton (United Kingdom);

• Starting in May: Vienna (Austria);

• Starting in June: Dublin (Ireland), Budapest (Hungary), Bratislava (Slovakia), Poznan, Gdansk (Poland), and Kaunas (Lithuania).

For the Summer 2025, Burgas Airport will serve flights to over 70 destinations in more than 20 countries. A double-digit increase in total passenger traffic is expected, with particularly strong growth from: Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Following a short period of rehabilitation works, Burgas Airport is fully prepared for the high summer traffic. Recent improvements include:

• Rehabilitation of 1,000 m² of the runway;

• Rehabilitation of approximately 4,250 m² of the taxiway.

These investments are part of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD’s commitment to sustainable development and full compliance with all international safety and efficiency standards.

Burgas Airport is ready to welcome passengers with high service standards and comfort, ensuring a pleasant and safe travel experience. Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD extends its gratitude to all partners for their support and continues to work towards an exciting and dynamic tourist season
