For the first time in the history of Varna Airport, direct flights will be operated from Abu Dhabi to Varna

Four attractive routes operated by Wizz Air in 2025 will be added to the flight portfolio of Varna Airport, part of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD.

Starting on March 31, 2025, for the first time in the long history of Varna Airport, new flights from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will be launched, which will be operated three times a week.

In addition, from April 14, 2025, the airline is resuming its flights to Frankfurt-Hahn and Nuremberg (Germany), which will be operated three times a week, as well as to Tel Aviv (Israel), which will be operated four times a week.

On top of this, Wizz Air is also increasing the number of flights on five current popular routes from Varna. This expansion of the flight program is made possible by the addition of another Airbus aircraft in Spring 2025, increasing the total number of aircrafts based in Varna to two. This will expand the airline’s capacity in the region, adding over 400,000 seats in 2025, a 90% increase compared to 2024.

The decision to grow the traffic significantly demonstrates Wizz Air’s commitment to the Bulgarian market and is the result of the intense collaboration between Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and Wizz Air, aiming to significantly improve Varna’s connectivity to destinations in Europe and abroad.
