The Ministry of Tourism with Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance Coast and AVIAREPS, organized a promotional tour in four cities in Germany

On 14.11.2024, the Bulgarian marketing tour in Germany, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, in cooperation with the authoritative marketing agency AVIAREPS, successfully ended. After the big success of several trips in the same format, organized over the past 2 years in: Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom, the focus was now on 4 cities in Germany: Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hanover, and Düsseldorf, where a series of B2B meetings were held between representatives of the tourism sector in Bulgaria and more than 100 potential partners from Germany. The purpose of these trips is to establish and expand existing business relationships, as well as to promote Bulgaria as a destination.

The Ministry of Tourism was represented by the Bulgarian attaché for tourism in Germany, Mr. Tihomir Patarinski, together with Ms. Milena Todorova - Project Manager of Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance. The meeting in Leipzig was also honored by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Federal Republic of Germany - H.E. Grigor Porozhanov, who welcomed the participants.

The Bulgarian group included a number of representatives of the tourism business, namely: Albena Group, Grifid Hotels, HVD Hotels, Hyatt Inclusive Collection, Melia International, and MTS Globe.

Following the success of the first such event in Germany and appreciating the importance and potential of the German market for our tourism industry, this trip builds on what has been achieved.

Meetings with local industry representatives were held as follows:

  • November 11 – Frankfurt;
  • November 12 – Leipzig;
  • November 13 – Hanover;
  • November 14 – Düsseldorf.

„Besides the very positive feedback we received for this roadshow, it is great that these marketing efforts are now also a normal task for Bulgaria as a tourist destination. Thank you to all who contributed, especially to the Ministry of Tourism!“, said the Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, Dr. Frank Quante.

Germany is a traditional target market for the Bulgarian tourism product, and also has great potential for our tourism, given the negative consequences of the war in Ukraine. This trip allows business representatives to establish new contacts directly with partners from Germany in the regions with the greatest potential for Bulgarian tourism
