Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance conducted a successful roadshow in Poland

After the regular General Assembly of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance held on 12.04.2024, the participating organizations unanimously united around the idea that the activities of the Alliance are extremely beneficial for the industry and should be continued. The plan for the upcoming activity of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance was also approved. Action already started on 22.04.2024, with the beginning of another marketing tour of representatives of the tourism industry in Poland. This type of promotion of the destination was highly appreciated in all previous similar tours held in: Poland, Germany, Great Britain, and the forum in Israel, in the organization of which the Alliance actively assisted.

The new marketing trip started in the city of Gdansk and included over 1000 B2B meetings with Polish partners, in which Bulgarian hoteliers and tour operators participated:

  • Albena Group
  • Avatar Tour
  • Balkan Holidays
  • Grifid Hotels
  • MPM Hotels
  • MTS Globe
  • Sol Melia
  • Therma Eco Village

Once again, the event gave to the business the opportunity to present Bulgaria as a year-round destination that offers wonderful opportunities for spa, health, cultural, culinary, and wine tourism. The Ministry of Tourism supports the roadshow both financially and in its organization.

Within the framework of the tour, the Bulgarian business representatives held meetings, also in the cities of Poznan, Wroclaw, and the capital - Warsaw. The last meeting was also attended by H.E. Margarita Ganeva - Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Poland. She welcomed the guests and shared her satisfaction with the fact that with the joint efforts of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance and the Ministry of Tourism, these tours are becoming regular and expressed the hope that they will remain traditional in the future.

The organization of the new familiarization tours for media professionals from the Baltic countries, Great Britain, and Poland, which are to be carried out in a similar format to the already organized ones, is also underway. As part of the initiative, media representatives from the respective country tour the most attractive places on our entire Black Sea coast in order to gain personal impressions of the resources available to the sector and to share them with their audiences. Thanks to these tours, a basic information background is created in our key markets, aiming to elevate the level of awareness, as well as the image of our destination to a completely new ground.

"The evaluation of the chain that I represent in Bulgaria - Melia Hotels International - is that the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance is developing extremely well and in the right direction, fulfilling the goals for which it was created. The dedication of the colleagues I work with is inspiring and I am sure that we will achieve a lot more for the correct positioning of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast among the markets sending tourists to our destination. The reviews of our foreign partners, and we as Melia Hotels work with many and with the largest ones, regarding the activities of the Alliance, are also very positive", said Maria Shishkova - Regional Director of Business Development for Bulgaria at Melia Hotels International.

"I became part of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance 3 years ago, because at that stage it was the only regional branch organization that met my criteria for vision and common work of all stakeholders along the Black Sea. From the very beginning, we worked towards the unification of the industry and institutions, serious and targeted advertising in our largest markets for inbound tourism, and partnership with the Ministry of Tourism. In this short time, but with common efforts, we managed to make significant visits to Germany, Poland, Great Britain, etc., as well as to attract foreign journalists. We are proud that despite the constantly changing political environment in recent years, we have always had the full support of every Minister of Tourism so far. This is a clear sign for us that we are going in the right direction, as is the positive feedback from all the markets we have visited. We believe that the Bulgarian Black Sea coast has a huge potential that we can all show to the world!", said Silvia Kyoseva - Owner of Flamingo Hotel, Sunny Beach.
