Dr. Frank Quante is an internationally experienced General Manager, starting his professional career as a Business Lawyer and Tax Advisor at KPMG. In 2003, he joined the German multi-utility company EWE with a focus on M&A projects before taking the role as CFO in the international active IT group of EWE in 2007. Since 2012, he was responsible for the investment of EWE in Turkey as CFO and starting 2017 CEO of EWE Turkey Holding, responsible for operational business in asset investments, energy trading, telecommunication and services.

Dr. Frank Quante joined Fraport AG in July 2020, he has taken over the role as CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD in September 2020. He is married with two children.

Seeing the unused potential of the tourism in Bulgaria, he started the initiative that became the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance in 2021, becoming the Chairman of the Board of Directors during the legal foundation.

Rossen Philipov has been acting CFO of “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AD since May 2008. Before this, he was the Executive Director of Johnson Controls Electronics Bulgaria EOOD since 2005. Prior to this, he held the position of Financial Director of Carlsberg Bulgaria AD (2004-2005), Chief Executive Officer of Roca Bulgaria AD (1998-2004), and Financial controlling at Kraft Jacobs Suchard Bulgaria AD (1995-1998).

Over the past 12 years, as CFO of the company, Rossen Philipov has led the company to record levels of sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.

A holder of a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Audit from the Economic University of Varna in addition to an MBA in Executive Management from the City University of Seattle, USA.  

Nikolay Sekalov has over 15 years of professional experience in the public and private sectors. He has occupied expert positions in the key Bulgarian Ministries of from 2005 to 2011, starting in the Ministry of Regional Development & Public Works, followed by the former Ministry of Economy, Energy & Tourism. He is a holder of a Master’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration specializing in Management of European Projects.  

As Chief Coordination Officer of “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AD since 2012, Nikolay Sekalov is responsible for the Concession supervision and management in addition to the operations of the Information Technology, Human Resources & Procurement Departments in the company.
